Drunken Master - Jackie Chan A movie needs no introduction. This classic defined Jackie Chan as the Kung Fu movie superstar since 1978. Because of Bruce Lee’s influence at that time, most of the Hong Kong action movies were the heroes type. The main actor was always the good-looking good guy fighting the bad guys.
In order to to stand out of other action actors, Jackie wanted to make a movie with a story of “from nobody to somebody”, a more realistic story. Therefore he amazed everybody and the movie became a blast in Asia. People just watched it repeatedly in cinemas (Yea, there was no Netflix 40 years ago). In Korea, it was shown in cinemas for over 10 months straight.
