Tsim Sha Tsui East was a popular spot for Valentines in Hong Kong!

Back in the 80s and 90s, Tsim Sha Tsui East area was an excellent choice of dating. It had decent cafes, restaurants (plus restaurants in classy hotels there), shopping malls, garden with fountains and columns. Couples could wine and fine and then walked to the promenade and enjoy the Victoria Harbour view, how romantic it could be.

The area has been “frozen” since the 90s without many big changes. The bad thing is the shopping malls are getting vacant and many nice restaurants were closed down especially during pandemic. It might not be a top choice of dating among young generation now, but it is worth to remember it was once an area for romance.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
