Sometimes booking hotels is complicated when planning your trip. We hope this article can give you more ideas before making decision.

Location

We now have hotels almost everywhere in Hong Kong. Big hotels are located in popular areas (or urban areas) like Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay in Hong Kong Island. Hotels in these areas tend to be more expensive.

Budget hotels

There are some budget hotels in Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei in Kowloon; Sheung Wan in Hong Kong Island. They are relatively cheaper but it may take you a bit more time for traveling, and you may need to do more transits between different means of public transports.

However, Hong Kong is a small city with good transportation network, so traveling between most of the places should take less than an hour.

Yau Ma Tei/ Tai Kok Tsui is a good option fo budget hotels actually. They are usually within 10 minutes walking distance to stations like Yau Ma Tei/ Mong Kok/ Prince Edward. Many of them are quite new in conditions with reasonable price.

Breakfast

Some people may be concerned whether breakfast is included by the hotel. Make sure you check it before you make your reservation. Even if they don’t you can always eat at the restaurants around the hotels. Cafes, tea restaurants, dim sum restaurants are opened early for breakfast.

Towels, tooth brushes

Most of the hotels in Hong Kong provide towels, tooth brushes.

The thing you cannot live without.

Like hotels in many other places in the world, usually high-end hotels will charge you WiFi, budget ones would offer free WiFi in your room.
