Hong Kong Animation-Comics-Games Expo 2019
Every summer in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Animation-Comics-Games Expo is another big event held right after Hong Kong Book Fair. This expo is surely a must-go for animation and game lovers to purchase the latest or limited version products and try out new games.
Even though the name of it is Animation-Comics-Games, what you can experience is far beyond these three genres.
*The following photos are from the Expo in 2018.
Hot Toys is a Hong Kong based company which produce highly detailed collectible merchandise. Its booth is one of the biggest in the event.
In the display area, they show the 1:1 figures of Avengers 3. They are so detailed that they look like the actual persons standing in front of you!
They also have a section of Star Wars. Try not to scream when you see these:
You can purchase the action figures of Hot Toys there but they are really hot that you need to make sure you have time to queue up...
The biggest booth here is PlayStation. You can try out their latest games like Resident Evil 2.
There is a section called "Hong Kong Original Games Exhibition" where some Hong Kong based companies debut or promote their new games.
We have a friend, Tom Simpson from UK, who created a game called "Feria d'Arles" at booth D12-27.
"Feria d'Arles" is a point and click adventure where you need to help Molly assemble the right equipments in order to win the world’s greatest bull fighting tournament!
This will be a free game on PC which will be released in about 3 months. You can try the game and talk to creator Tom at the booth!
What's new this year is eSports Carnival. There will be competitions of games like GT Sport and Tetris etc.
