Leisure Bridge Walk in Central of Hong Kong

There are a lot of footbridges in Hong Kong especially in busy areas like Central, Mong Kok and Tsuen Wan. Actually it can be a unique tour and experience while walking through them.

They call it “Central Elevated Walkways”. Since 1970s, Hong Kong landlords started to build footbridges to connect their office buildings and shopping complex in Central and then extended it to other areas like Admiralty and Wan Chai.

Walking the footbridges in the Central area of Hong Kong offer several advantages. You can enjoy elevated views of the cityscape, allowing pedestrians to enjoy panoramic vistas of Hong Kong's iconic skyline. While you are taking a million photos of the beautiful views around, you can worry less about road safety and the risk of accidents and collisions with vehicles.

Also you don’t need to worry about the weather. Hong Kong experiences hot and humid summers, as well as occasional heavy rain. Footbridges offer shelter from adverse weather conditions, such as intense heat, rain, or strong winds.

Don’t forget walking is a good exercise for you.

One of the routes I enjoy the most is walking from Admiralty to Central during sunset (after rush hour). The temperature is good, sunset is beautiful, no crowds, finding the way towards Central is also an adventure and exploration, you won’t get lost. Try it and you won’t regret it.
