National Day Firework Display
Since 1997 the year of the handover of Hong Kong from British to China, there is firework display on the National Day of China every year on 1st October. In 2018, it will start at 9pm in Victoria Harbour and the show will last for about 23 minutes.

The best spot for watching the show will be at the waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui, Central and Wan Chai. However it will be very crowded in those areas because many people would start to wait there since afternoon. It is suggested to go there a few hours before 9pm.
