Basically it is about a soothsayer advised a man to take his family to high ground for the ninth day of the ninth moon in order to escape from slaughter/ plague/ ghosts/ monsters (depending on the story). The man compiled and the next day they went back to the village and discovered that everyone in the village was dead because of slaughter/ plague/ ghosts/ monsters.
