The 4 “Rules” of a good Pan Fried Bun!?

Pan Fried Bun is a Shanghainese food appeared around 100 years ago. It is a bit like dumplings because it can be consumed as snacks, or as a meal.

A good Pan Fried Bun should be like this: crispy bottom, thin skin, tasty soup inside with juicy fresh meat stuffing.

I always find myself indecisive when I eat Pan Fried Bun. Because I like the original taste, but also I like to dip it with chilli sauce. Yeah I know, you would say “half-half” then. Try it yourself and you will understand why it is such a tough choice.

Be careful when you eat Pan Fried Buns, the soup inside is always boiling hot. I always burn myself.
