Historical Pottinger Street, what’s new? 中環石板街

Pottinger Street in Central was named after the first Hong Kong Governor, Sir Henry Pottinger. It was usually referred as “Stone Slab Street“ by the locals because the original section was built on a steep slope, and is composed of series of granite steps.

It is a popular venue for photo shoots and movie scenes; there are several shops which are worth to check out.

Honestly, shops in Pottinger Street do not serve the locals only like in the old days. There are shops selling phone cases and accessories, patches, Chinese shoes, juices etc.

There is one section where shops sell different costumes, perfect place to shop for Halloween or parties.

When you keep walking up to the top you will see Tai Kwun, the latest and hottest Instagram spot in Central.
